A Partnership In Change
As humans, we often resist change — good or bad. We may want to change, but knowing what we want and actually making it happen are two very different things; new experiences bring anxiety and raise stress levels, and it's unsettling to step outside our comfort zone. Unfortunately, "change is the only constant in life," as the Ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus so aptly put it.
The challenge is learning how to respond to constant change and become the person you are meant, and choose, to be. Working together through the therapeutic alliance, we'll create the change you want and help you develop your true self — whether that means working through a current struggle, healing from past traumatic experiences, or building the future life you envision.
Change is complicated: we want it, and we resist it, because it pulls us out of our comfort zone. I'll help you drive the change you want in your life, and navigate the change you don't, in the best way for you.
The Therapeutic Alliance
The therapeutic alliance is the trusting, collaborative relationship between therapist and client — and it's one of the most powerful predictors of successful therapy. It's built on mutual respect, honesty, and a shared commitment to your goals. When you feel truly heard and safe, you're able to do the deeper work of healing and growth. This alliance isn't something that happens to you — it's something we build together, session by session, as the foundation for the changes you want to make in your life.
Therapeutic Modalities
I draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, tailoring my approach to fit each client's unique needs and goals. These include:
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Somatic and mind-body techniques
Strengths-based and solution-focused approaches
Together, we'll work to reframe difficult situations, manage challenging reactions, and build practical tools for navigating life's obstacles.
I hold a Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies from the Trauma Research Foundation, a program bridging current research on PTSD and developmental trauma with today's most effective clinical methods. This training allows me to integrate advanced, evidence-based techniques — including somatic approaches, elements of Internal Family Systems, and mindful awareness — into a comprehensive, research-informed approach to trauma treatment.
In alliance, we can work toward the life you want and deserve
